BattleMech vs. OmniMech

BattleMechs^® - the most powerful war machines ever built - dominate the 31st Century battlefield of the MechWarrior^® series. These huge, vaguely man-shaped, vehicles stand over a dozen meters in height and can weigh up to one hundred tons. Each is capable of carrying a full arsenal of devastating weapons, including pulse lasers, long-range missiles, heavy ultra autocannons, and particle projector cannons, and carries enough hardened armor to withstand a withering barrage of those same weapons.

On the battlefield, the BattleMech is the very specter of death. The mere silhouette of an enemy 'Mech^®, even one kilometers away, is enough to give any common infantry solider or tank crew reason to pray for mercy. There is nowhere to hide and no sane reason to fight back. There is nothing that can stop a 'Mech^®. Except perhaps, another BattleMech.

Long the weapon of choice in the Inner Sphere, the BattleMech has been sorely tested in battle against the Clan version, the OmniMech. Faster, better armored, and more powerful, the OmniMech is very much the next generation (and then some) of BattleMechs^®. But even with advanced targeting and tracking systems, modular weapons, and more efficient and power engines, a 'Mech^® is only as good as the man or woman who pilots it.
