When I enter any mission in Mechwarrior 3 (not the Gold edition), the graphics looks glitchy 9with all the glitchy pixels when I turn around) ingame but I tried using EOP's patch and when I set the refresh rate to 60hz
Am I missing something?

Processor- AMD Phenom 9750 Quad-Core Processor, 2.40 GHZ
RAM- 4 GB
Video- ATI Radeon HD 4350
Sound- Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio
Hard Drive- 451 GB
OS- Windows 7

Sadly you have encountered the infamous ATI glitch which you can read about here: http://www.mechwarrior3.org/wforum/viewtopic.php?t=3234

Sadly, your only choices are the following:

1. Purchase an NVIDIA video card, something like the ZOTAC ZT-95TEH3M-FSL GeForce 9500 GT which you can get for $50 at Newegg, which are not affected by this issue.

2. See if someone has a cheap, read: Free, ATI Radeon x1650 PCI-E video card laying around.

3. Or if you can't get either of the above put away the game.

ATI has, to date, been unwilling to address this issue so sadly your options are limited. -_-

Believe me I was bummed as you were but, right now, the highest supported ATI video card is the HD 3870 series under XP SP2, Vista, or Win7.

Working on a solution, probably need a DLL linked EXE to trick the card into doing something games haven't done for the past 6 years. I fixed this with Crimson Skies then after a Driver Update on my Radeon 4570 it broke again, i'll work on fixing it again, might be out of my hands though. Petition ATI, might get you somewhere probably wont but at least worth trying, worked with Nvidia for Crimson Skies

Well, if you need something from the older drivers LMK and I can send you the driver archive I have along with the associated release notes on DVD. Just send me a PM and I'll work on getting those to you.

As far as petitioning ATI on the issue I've tried several times after learning of the specifics but have yet to gain any real traction. I'm hoping that another friend of mine may be able to help now that I've got more data than I did before. However, I'll have to wait and see if I can get free for GDC in order to see if I can get this to happen. Razz
