The MechWarrior 3 Community Project

Hi everyone,

I’ve received the annual notice of our hosting fees being due in Feb of 2009. We also have to pay for our domain name renewals as well. I’m happy to say that our rates have not gone up in the past four years or so since we’ve been with Webmasters.com, it’s still the $120 as it was back in 2004. Can you believe we’ve been online for over four years?! It’s probably closer to five since I was running Mech3.org from my personal web space prior to going independent with community funding. We still have the birthdate of The MechWarrior 3 Community Project as Aug 01, 2003 as posted by Finn at the MekTek forums.

I’m also happy to report that our usual dedicated supporters have been donating during the year so currently we have 75% of our needed funds sitting in our Paypal account. This post is just to give everyone plenty of time to contribute before the deadline in Feb. of 2009.

A big thanks in advance to everyone who will be sending us a few bucks in the future. Remember, every dollar helps so don’t think that small donations are not appreciated. We have over 700 people registered here so even if it were just 25 cents per person… we’d still have more than what we need.
