   Just thought you guys might wanna know,incase you just got vista or whatever…some computers might not work in some old games,specially this one,but try though,some do some dont,microsoft has a way with working it out on mech warriors 4 anyway…check it out

    I downloaded and checked both patches for a virus or trojan and they scanned clean for me. Are you sure your system wasn’t already infected prior to downloading?

    it is an official patch released from microprose back in 2000. it
    is very likely it will help if you running an older legacy pc.

    I have Mechwarrior 2, Mechwarrior 2 Merecnaries and Mechwarrior 3, I upgraded my computer and installed XP and None of them will work properly. They were all good games when I had them on my old computer but I have tried to run them on my new computer in DOSBOX and using VDMS and they either will not run, crash or run weird (with MechWarrior 3 it runs really weird : on the first campaign mission the mech overheats after the first shot and an APC jumps up and down like a Kangaroo). Its a big shame but I don’t think there is a solution for my system. My system is comprised of a Pentium 4, 3.2 Ghrz with 1 GB of Ram a Soundblaster Live sound card and a NVIDIA GEFORCE 7600 GS video card.

    Salute to all the legendary Mechwarriors! I still love mw3 and waiting to MWLL to come out. I’ve been having trouble making mw3 to work with XP/Vista32bit as well. But Finally got it to work ok for what its worth. I”m back and playing with old friends on Gameranger. Everybody videos are different, but you can try this:
    1. Run your 1.2 patch.
    2. Set Compatibility mode for 98/WinME
    3. Check Disable viual themes
    4. Check Turn off advanced text services…
    5. Set In game Resolution 640×480

    A fellow zoner, im glad to see Mechwarrior still alive, even now since the original creator bought the rights back and is creating a new mechwarrior inth works.

    Resolution BUG fix for higher resoltion you can download on this site

    Got back into MW3 over Christmas. I’m using an old AT format machine 500MHz with Win98 for this, runs fine. I bought the gold edition when it originally came out. I found the Pirate’s Moon expansion had some glitches and not as good as the original game. Incidentally I have MW2 3dfx which will only run with a voodoo 4mb video card which it came bundled with. It’s so much better than the common 2D version and I wish I could get it work with any other video card (it doesn’t work with the 8mb voodoo card Any MW3 programmers know of this version and how to run it on other video cards? In 30 years of gaming I rate MW3 & MW2 3dfx as some of the best ever.

    I am running mw3 on win xp pro 64. Other than some minor crashes I was able to play until it got to op3 mission 4. Everytime it goes to start mission 4 the whole thing crashes. Right inbetween the grey map where he is showing the flyby and the green screen. Installed patch 1.2 and still have the problem. Also tried installing the other patchs I got from here( mw1.fix1.5 and mech 3 1024 X 768 and get an error message saying “The specified module could not be found. That’s after un zipping them. on mw1.fix1.5 and the other one it lists the file mech3Msg.dll in the error message. What the hey?
