Saturday, June 17, 2006 Taken from Mech3.org: "Fellow MechWarriors, it is with great sadness that I must announce the end of online gaming for the MechWarrior series at the MSN Gaming Zone. Our Forum Members posted the news about a month ago to affirm what we all already knew to happen. However, I did not expect MechWarrior Mercs to be removed as well seeing that it is thier latest installment. The termination date is posted for June 19th... and it would be nice if we could have one last gathering of supporters. I've suggested we meet on June 18th since it falls on a Sunday for everyone in the United States. If you'd like more information about this then click this link. to our forums. Tuesday, August 30, 2005 ![]() This probably comes too late but one of our forum members posted a link to a BTech Mod for Half Life 2. It's a great looking fps enchancement that incorporates the Elemental Mech. I briefly spoke to the site administrator at thier forums where I learned that they "would need at least two strong coders and modelers" to keep the project going. If you like Half Life... you'll like this mod. It sounds like a great opportunity... not to mention the fact that it could be listed on a resume' as legitimate work experience. Sunday, May 08, 2005 Hi folks, not that anyone is noticing but I'm having some technical difficulties as my budget can't afford a web host any longer. Fear not... the good folks at MW3.org will take care of me. Especially since I'm kinda the webmaster there, heh. Most likely I'll redirect my domain there to help with site traffic. I suppose this means the end for The UA DAWGS. It's not surprising that my short lived clan never really took off. I'm not even sure why I've held on to the name for the last four years. In any case, I'll at least leave a splash page with our group photo. This site will become part of the MW3 archives as they are being compiled with the MechWarrior 3 Community Project. Thanks to everyone who has visited this site. I'll continue to post news and such at Mech3.org if yall are interested in MechWarrior 3 news and updates. Gone but not forgotten, DAWG_PACK_LEADR Sunday, March 27, 2005 This guy sounds serious...and it looks as though he's got the credentials to pull this off. Although it looks like anime... it's still a mech in all respects. What's funny is that the guy's last name is OWENS. Hehe. Linkage: Carlos Owens Jr.'s Mecha Found the link at "The Wrecked Mech" Thursday, March 03, 2005 The Zone finally pulled the rooms. MW3 is no longer listed as of February 24. While this is sad news... it does have an optimistic twist. The previous news post speaking of Wolverine's Switcher tool has had some interesting results. One of the most surprising is the ability to allow for more than 8 players in one game. That's right! The MW4 rooms allow for up to 16 players to simultaneously participate in the same session. Team functions are still functional... also with the toggle on/off feature as the original MW3 rooms. So pack up your bags, mechwarriors... we're moving to the MW4 Vengeance lobbies. The MechWarrior 3 Community Project has now become the Mech3 Resistance! We'll continue to fight to keep our favorite simulator game alive in 2005. Come join the Resistance and register at the Mech3.org forums. You'll be glad you did! A big thanks to Wolverine for making the Switcher possible. Links to follow: Mech3.org Forums More info on the Switcher Tuesday, December 14, 2004 It's been a long haul and we've fought a good fight. However, you can't stop the inevitable. The MSN Gaming Zone has officially slated MW3 for deletion from their websites. We have until mid-February before the rooms are taken. Let's make this New Year go out with a bang... and game our arses off into the night. The good news is that the staff at Mech3.org isn't going anywhere. They pledge to continue supporting MW3... even if that means getting everyone on IRC to play IP games. But such a thing may not be necessary. As it turns out, someone has come up with a way to use the MW4 lobbies to play MW3. Even if they remove the MW3 rooms... you'll still be able to play in multiplayer mode at the Zone and with team play and rejoin capabilities! This it not a hack. This is not a joke. This tool will also enable you to play the Pirate's Moon Expansion without having to go to the Direct Play rooms and without being limited to 6 players.
